The charges that an artist makes for works varies as much as styles between different artists – there can be huge differences
from tens of pounds – to hundreds of pounds and more.
Each artist sets his or her own price and takes into account the cost of materials and time taken to do the work.
Professional Art materials can cost a small fortune in art stores and many artists buy the best they can afford.
Time is a big cost factor and basically the more time it takes the more you are going to have to pay.
One artist may take 2 hours to do a drawing while another may take several days to complete his version ( which may or may not be worth the extra effort ).
there is always a balance between cost and final output which is why the customer must view the portrait artists work and get a quote before proceeding.
